Google Ranking Factor – Thematic Conflict in Title Element
This occurs when the Page Title element contains more than one keyword phrase and the keyword phrases are not closely related in theme.
The most frequent occurrences I have seen of this is when the Title element has been written and is stuffed with keywords not relevant to the page content, for the supposed purpose of gaining traffic somehow, based on the ‘attractive power’ of the other non-relevant keywords.
Avoid this situation. Optimise your Page Title for just one keyword phrase, and only add a second if very closely related to the first.
Note that exact matches between two keyword phrases in the Title Element may be seen as ‘keyword spamming’.
A repeat of the same keyword phrase is unnecessary.
